Assignment 1
I decided to attempt capturing a 'live news event' so went to the Winter Gardens Blackpool as the first day of the Labour Party Spring Conference 2006 was ending and delegates were leaving. The main entrance was well covered by photographers and BBC News so I went to the rear of the building as VIP cars could only leave from there. Tony Blair flashed past surrounded by Police escorts but John Prescot, Deputy PM, decided to abandon his car and security team to take a stroll - no doubt 'to meet the people'. Having ensuring I was not from the Sun Newspaper he was quite willing to be photographed and we even had a chat about the MA Course at Bolton Uni. As he had perhaps just spent the day pulling the wool over the delegates eyes it was opportune to catch him with the it about to descend on his head!
