Communities are more than just people, they include places, locations, facilities, establishments and often feature their own distinct cultures. I have used a library as the setting for my image to depict the centre of a typical community (British) and as a facility for the commeon benefit and use of community members. The most evident change in culture within this facility of learning and data was the availability to all of computers and internet access. Inside the architectural local landmark of Manchester City Library the main hall is now dominated by computer screens and electronic data sources were not to long ago there would have been the communities store of written works. The image incorporates the new information technology alongside the shelves of reference books together with members of the community. I felt the contrast of the new and traditional technologies identified a significant change in culture.
